PROCEDURES IN THE PRACTICAL EXAM
Part 1:
At the test center, the examiner will call the candidate’s name in the test center’s waiting room. He asks you to sit at the desk, ask a few questions, such as the address, what car we came in for the test. At this stage, the examiner will ask the candidate to present a valid Lerner Permit and sign the relevant documents (the declaration that the vehicle is insured and has an up-to-date technical inspection). If any of the discs is invalid, the test will be interrupted. This means that you have not passed the exam and you must retake the exam.

After presenting the relevant documents, the examiner will ask up to 8 questions on the knowledge of road traffic regulations, and up to 10 questions on the knowledge of road signs and hand signals. (All study questions for the exam are available on our website)
After passing the oral part of the exam, we go to the car for the practical part of the exam.

Part 2:
In the second part, the technical condition of the basic vehicle components will be checked. The examiner will be asked to open the front hood of the car and indicate where and what instruments are used to check: engine oil level, washer fluid level, brake fluid level, coolant level. We may be asked to point your finger where the external headlights are located, how to check the tread height of the tire and the horn.

The examiner will ask you to safely close the hood, get in the car and start the engine in order to check the correct operation of the lights. He will ask you to turn on the direction indicators in the direction indicated by the examiner and press the foot brake. (All directions must be operational, two front and two rear, and the rear brake lights. If either direction or brake light is not working, the test will be aborted, it means you have failed the test and must retake). The practical test takes place in a vehicle marked with the letter L, not less than 15 cm in size, in red on a white background, clearly visible from the front and rear.

Part 3:
(Secondary Controls) Questions inside the car. The examined person should indicate the basic instruments to switch on: wipers, parking lights, long and short, windshield washers, ventilation, rear window heating, windscreen evaporation, fog lights, air flow. Demonstration of seat, headrests, steering wheel, mirrors and seat belt fastening, checking that the vehicle doors are closed.

Part 4:
City driving with the examiner. It is carried out on public roads and tests the ability to behave safely in road traffic. Important aspects to be taken into account: position, observation, use of mirrors, indicators, reaction to threats, overtaking at a safe distance, driving dynamics, obeying the signs of lights and lines, giving way, using driving devices such as clutch, brake, throttle, steering and gears .

Now please drive as you usually drive. The examiner will tell you where to turn left or right at the right time, otherwise follow the signs. If there are any doubts about the direction of travel, please ask.

The duration of the exam is about 40 minutes. The commands during the driving test are given clearly, unambiguously and legibly. If you do not understand or hear the command, ask for it to be repeated. If for some reason you have mistaken the driving directions, do not change it at the last minute.

Maneuvers in the exam:
Reverse to The Left along the curb to the road on the left. Undo. Continue backing up if safe to do so keep reasonably close to the curb. The examiner will tell you when to stop.

Turn in The Road. Please turn the car around and go the other way. You can undo more than once if needed.

Hand Signals A window must be opened to indicate a hand maneuver. The demonstration should contain five hand signals from the Rules of the Road. In the event that the driver’s window is broken, hand signals can be demonstrated in the vehicle without having to open the window.

Going uphill (Hill Start) Pull over to the side of the road, stop on the left / uphill.
When approaching the end of the exam, please find a parking space.
Now you will go to the office and you will receive the test results.
